There is no reason to believe that the PC males were involved purely because they happen to have that reputation. The Birmingham's both were closer and had motive.

The Birmingham boys were clearly avoiding fighting more equal fights such as the Avocas. But have shown to have no issue taking on single young male lions such as Nguvu. So that they took on the weaker Skorro and the Othawa pride but abandoned their territory under PC males pressure kind of fits with what we saw of them in the past.

The reason why they fled from the Othowas in the past may be due to Skorro. They likely dont want to risk fighting the pride and Skorro at the same time. So they chased him off when he visited the Ximhungwes early august and then used his absence to attack the pride.

I know it's all natural behavior, but still, it's sad that Nhenha's return as a dominant male ended up catastrophic for everybody.
