@peter Should Leopards of the Western Himalayas be put in their own category?

- They live in a totally different environment (coniferous forests), as opposed to the remainder of the subspecies.

- They are the apex predators in these ecosystems due to no Tiger populations in the Western environments

- They seem to be pretty big or robust due to top predator status as well as the colder environment

- There seems to be more human-animal conflict in these areas as compared to the other parts of India

- There seems to be more man-eating Leopards in the Western Himalayas. Some prominent examples include the Panar man-eater, and the man-eater of Rudraprayag. Reply
