Quite interesting behavior from Ross males, last year they acted quite agressive towards young males, which resulted that pride was split between subadults and cubs group, but in the recent times they all hang together again, which is quite strange, that 2 dominant males tolerate 3, 4 year old males.
I remember they acted similar towards BYM, first agressive for long time and then towards the end they tolerate him, until he left on his own.
Looks like Ross males kinda "give up" when young males become too strong to fight them off, and just accept them, especially as most of the work is doing Tyson on his own, as Fabio is gentle giant.
This is actually not bad for Ross males, at 4 yrs of age, these 3 young males might become quite usefull with so many big, up and coming coalitions around.
Tr1x24, It seems like a usually held thought that young males btw the age of 3 years to under 4 years would be a help to their fathers against rival coalitions. I feel at that age, they lack the sense of holding territory. I could be wrong though. Is there ever an instance where sons joined their fathers in a fight to defend the territory?
