There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

conservewildcats  - This male tiger was first identified in the Kerinci Seblat National Park (KSNP) Core Area in Sumatra when camera trapping launched in 2013 and was labelled as 'CA_1M'.
.
He’s now more widely known to the Kerinci Seblat Tiger Monitoring teams and Tiger Protection & Conservation Units as Datuk Rajo Basa ('The Polite King').
.
He was the first of 46 Sumatran tigers to be photographed and identified in the 880km2 Core Area of KSNP and he remains the only Sumatran tiger to have been photographed in every single survey conducted by the Monitoring team since camera trapping launched.
.
This long-term monitoring has allowed the team to learn about Datuk Rajo Basa's movements and his home range. They also identified the two Sumatran tigresses whose range overlaps with that of Datuk's.
