It seems Nkuchuma male remained with a female after confrontation so I would assume Nkuchuma male can up on top on this occassion.

OM just did not have any occassion to fight which doesn't mean he was calm. In general he appeared to be very confident/ over confident, not calm and scared.

Obviously it would. It is nearly impossible or at least exceptionally rare that 1vs1 fight between male lions would resault in the fatal injurys. To be honnest in such 1vs1 I would even expect OM to came on top. He was much younger, fitter, probably stronger. I would not expect OM would lack size and confidence either. Reply
