There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

I can see that happening from repeatedly bringing down game the way they often quickly rotate to a hip side down position.
Its unknown what this is, i personally think its some kind of disease (idk if it is connected to TB), as most lions who has this, eventually die because of it (Sizanani, Hip-Scar, Talamati DeLaporte etc..) and currently Limper Tumbela has it and WideNose N'ws, both of those males are not in top condition (they cant put weight like their brothers).
So i dont think its injury related, because males who are healthy, but injured without that "black dot" have no problems of maintaining their top condition (Dark Mane Avoca, Birmingham young male, Xihamham Shishangaan, Skorokoro Nharhu etc..)
But then also, there are males who have "black dot" but look to be not affected (so far), like 2 Mbiris ot Snip-Tail Mpondo, but they might in future as they get older.
