There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Pretty conflicting to the reply I received from Sheldrick WT a few weeks ago in which they told me that they don't weigh the animals they treat

What do you people think?

It's an estimation, there is no field scale present so no way of knowing his weight.

There is something true in this weight. Btw this lion isnt caesar.

It is definitely not a estimation. You can read what they said. They needed 10 people because the lion was weighed close to 300 kg. That is exactly what Reuben Matthew's said and he confirmed to me that he is serious that he was weighed.

If this isnt true... that would be a big coincidence. But a random staff cant confirm the weight because it's like 7 years old.

We need to contact Dr. Dominic mijele because he was there.
Estimating based off the amount of people needed to move an animal is just that, an estimation. Not to mention, they wouldn’t even know how many people are needed to move what weight. It’s not something they come across often. The idea that you need 10 people to move 300kg is wrong, one person can easily lift 30kg, it’s just a matter of the type of grip available.

And Rueben has brought forth no verification the Lion was weighed, a hearsay weight isn’t verified and we need actual people involved to confirm that weight which hasn’t happened.
