There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Maned Wolf (Chrysocyon brachyurus)

Rare sighting.

Maned Wolves mating.

Amigo do Lobo

''In the second half of March and first half of April, it is the almost exclusive time of the year when the maned wolf couples start to walk together, communicate more intensely through the aulids, meeting to mate at various times over the course of 2 weeks. This is the wolves' reproductive period. The rest of the year they meet very little but they continue to communicate through vocalizations and ''messages'' left in their urine and feces.

If copulation results in pups, at least in the first three months they still meet a lot in parental care. ''
