There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Update on Casper the White Lion... We had the privilege to see him with the three other males on our way back from the Mathikithi Wildernis Trail on Saturday 6 March 2021. It seems as if they have been hanging around the Mathikithi hill for the past couple of months, trying to avoid the more dominant males in the Greater Satara area. They are alive, but their condition seems to have deteriorated slightly due to greater foraging and top condition of herbivores, after the rain. Casper earned a few more scars from the last sighting as he fights for his right at the table. I assume they might start to contend for a larger territory in another year or two if they can survive this season of plenty. Credit: Gertzen Schlemmer
Are they territorial? Its quite strange if they are not, 4 strong males at the age over 6 yrs old, they should find territory without too much problem by now..
Casper and his siblings will be 8 years old this year, it is very strange that they are not already dominant over some pride!
