There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
No, not really. But the Majingilane are usually with the Othawa pride when they're not patrolling.
The Matimba males are making strong their position in Londolozi but sometimes they cross over to Mala Mala. Yesterday it was posted that, while the Matimbas(called Clarendon males in Mala Mala) were watching a herd of buffaloes, the 5 Birmingham males saw them and chased them away, only by later being chased themselves by Elephants.
Now, a few pics of the Nkuhuma young male, son of the Matimbas, usually called Junior. Notice how is mane is starting to darken a little.

He has grown up a lot, but his life won't be easy. First of all, he's alone, I'm not aware of any other young male in the pride. For now he has the advantage of being among his natalm pride, but with his fathers not anymore around to provide them with protection he's in real danger from the Birmingham males. With a bit of luck, he'll be able to form a coalition with some other young male/s, who knows even with some of the various Majingilane sons that are on the verge of being independent?
