That's a massive male with a massive skull(never seen a leopard like that),reminding me of a jaguar. Although, I was never interested in jaguars ,don't know why but they are pretty overrated and are impressive by no means especially their stout build. Leopards are the most beautiful animals in my opinion. If you don't mind ,is there any info regarding the size of that male?
He was 71kg, right in line with a standard male Leopard

• 11 years after the Sri Lankan Melanistic black leopard
was assumed to be extinct, the attention came to the fore
again last year (2019) when it appeared on a remote motion sensor camera (Forests of Adam’s Peak)
• On Tuesday, the 26th of May 2020, Wildlife officials in Sri Lanka rescued a rare black leopard ensnared in a snare on a Laxapana Estate.
• Villagers had called for help after hearing the animal growling at 6am.

• However the DWC Veterinary Doctor arrived only 8 hours later.
• After they took Black Leopard to Randenigala Veterinary Hospital for treatment.
• On Wednesday, the man who had set up the snare was arrested by Sri Lanka Police for questioning.(NO USE)
• This video footage is confirmed says... He was so healthy & he was so active just few hours before he died...
• But Sri Lankan Wild and Nature Protection officially says (27/05/2020):
"This time a rare Black leopard. The snare had been round the neck.
No serious superficial injuries. It has also other old injuries"
• 05/09/2020 - 10.30am Rescued black leopard dies.
• Causing of death by very careless for dep of wildlife conservation-sri lanka & Maybe poor treatment.
