''The Maned Wolf is the biggest canine in South America. Following the fate of other mammals in Argentina, it suffered a devastating retraction of its distribution area. Around 100 years ago, the Maned wolf reached northern Patagonia, but today it survives in some areas of the north of our country.
One of the most important populations of Maned wolf lives in Iberá. Here, we started a project to study the species using VHF and GPS technology —for the first time for the species— and to design strategies to recover this beautiful animal.''
