Cheetal deer growing rapidly in Sheopur district with blackbuck In Kuno National Park

The number of deer with chital-sambar is increasing every year in the Kuno-Palpur sanctuary of Sheopur district. Also, the clan of Chinkara Chasinga is also growing rapidly. The growth of deer and chinkara is good news for tourists. The tourists attract deer by being in large groups together. Apart from this, the number of wolves in the sanctuary has also increased to 730 due to preponderance of hunting. Apart from this, other animals have also grown.

Chital crosses 27 thousand in the district

According to the census report (except the general forest division), Chital's clan has crossed 27 thousand 253 in the district. Along with the sanctuary, the number of wildlife in the district is also increasing. The number of sambar is above 27 thousand 808. Along with this, black deer are also seen in many places. The number of peacocks has also increased. Have also read the clan of vultures. They play a huge role in keeping the environment clean. According to Kuno DFO PK Verma, the number of wildlife in the sanctuary is increasing rapidly. Adequate arrangements are being made for their care.

Good news for tourists

According to Kune DFO Verma, the number of wildlife is continuously increasing. This is good news for tourists and us. The income of the sanctuary will also increase with the arrival of tourists. With which we will be able to make more special arrangements for tourists and wildlife living. According to the DFO the number of wild boars has decreased, but the situation will be completely clear in the 2021 census.

The number of chinkara reached 6 times

According to Kune DFO Verma, Chinkara had 206 in 2014 at the Kuno-Palpur sanctuary. It reached 792 in 2016. But now this number has reached more than 7 thousand 585. While the langurs have gone above 9 thousand 117. It is most visible in the Adi Nonpura valley till Langur valley. Similarly Nilgai also has more than 5662.

Chinkara and Black Buck's rise is a good thing for cheetahs

According to DFO Verma, the team from Dehradun has also liked the sanctuary. Kuno-Palpur has been described as perfectly suited for cheetahs' habitat and food. Let us know that the cheetah's favorite food is chinkara and black buck (black buck). Also, a field is needed for this. So that he can run and catch his prey. Cheetahs require small wildlife and long open field areas to hunt. They need grass to hide. The Kuno Sanctuary has long open grasslands.

This is the number of wildlife in Kuno sanctuary
