Hello @GuateGojira, can you make a size comparison chart for Cape buffaloes (Syncerus caffer caffer) ?

I tried finding data on body weight and sizes. This is what I found -

1. Vital statistics of 100 Cape Buffaloes collected from Crocodile Ridge, Kruger National Park

The quality is pretty bad, but I was able to calculate an average of ~620kgs for 35 males (young adult + adult)

2. Variation and Incipient speciation in the African Buffalo

.pdf   Zeitschrift-Saeugetierkunde_37_0121-0144.pdf (Size: 2.3 MB / Downloads: 3)

This gives 751kgs for 8 males from Serengeti and Kenya

3. Body size and measurement of species diversity in large grazing mammals (Boniface O. Oindo)

.pdf   1272969787.pdf (Size: 135.56 KB / Downloads: 1)

631kgs for adult males (range or number of specimen not given)

4. African Buffalo - Ecology, Evolution and Behaviour

.pdf   Africanbuffalo_EcologyEvolutionandBehaviourofWildCattle.pdf (Size: 2.06 MB / Downloads: 5)

753kgs for adult males (range or number of specimen not given)

If we take the mean, the average comes out to be ~690 to 700kgs for a sample of more than 43 animals
I hope this much data is enough for making a size chart
