There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

That is not Leopard predation.
This is Leopard predation.
Leopard kills Ostrich.
i know what predations is..doesn't matter if the leopard wasn't attacking the boar it's an interaction between predator and prey
Predation is usually when the predator kills or is killing the prey. Sometimes, the prey is already killed off by the predator.
Wild Boar are preyed less on in comparison to the other Ungulates. This means that the Wild Boar might be just bugging the Leopard rather than fending it off.
I mean, Leopards also prey on smaller carnivores, but they are not main prey.
If you find a Leopard and small cat or canid snarling at each other, you would put it in an 'interactions' thread or a Leopard subspecies thread rather than a predation thread.
Same goes for the Wild Boar video.
If a Leopard kills or has killed any of these animals, then can it be considered valid predation.
For example, here is a Leopard dragging a Wild Boar kill.
