These battles usually involve a lot of spectacular splashing, some guttural grunting and a fair dose of mouth gaping. It’s mostly a show of force – a display to prove which animal is more dominant. But when water is scare and aquatic real estate is tough to come by, fights can escalate and lead to serious injury or even death. "
