About #5906: do we know how this lion lost a part of its tail ? After a fight against an other male, I suppose...

He was already without that in 2015, so he prob lost that when he was cub/subadult.

Son of Leeupan males attacked by Hippo.

our_wildlife_journey ?We came across this amazing sighting where a huge male lion was crossing the Sabie River about 1km down river from the bridge.

As the lion was crossing the river he was attacked by what looked like a Hippo chilling in the deeper pools, the lion frantically jumped to safety but has been injured during the ordeal. We hope he is going to make a full recovery.

It's totally unknown what happened to his eye. But could have been a lot of things, For example, up to a kick from a giraffe, zebra, etc or to an injury made on disagreement in the dinner table when he was a cub. He's a badass character though!

Good looking boys! They not are even in their prime and looking really massive and healthy. Kruger lions are something else! Northern ones are a true exception of male lions as well. Some expert research indicates that Northern Kruger males are slighty biigger and bulky than the southern ones.

Could be, Somehow, These five sub-adults males resemblances highly to the H2-2 males, also referred as the Transport dam males. I remember heard that they were three, and this pretoriuskop male has some resemblances. Interesting, don't you think?

3/3 Jock males. If feels like the 3 are almost always seen together, they have a strong bond.
