There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

The two massive Leeubron males are true powerhouses of the KNP. One of the biggest lions I've ever seen!

The Mantimahle coalition born between 2010-2011 were a coalition originally of seven males. One was killed in 2014, and the 6th member went missing which left only 5 Mantimahle males to claim a territory on their own. About #5906: do we know how this lion lost a part of its tail ? After a fight against an other male, I suppose...

A recent sighting of the Pretoriuskop male with some new facial scars. It seems he had a scuffle with 5 young males but very large in size (possibly his own sons) near Napi Boulders in the southern entrance.

Possibly hyenas as well. A fight with other males sound posible, Or even when he was a cub/sub-adult and was feeding on a kill with other members of the pride. That's how the Birmingham lioness "Stompie' lost his tail too.

@"Timbavati" don't think it was the 5 boys he seems to be with them. Probably Phabeni males did it. More pictures from Warryn Fayard & snenhlanhla capholwethu
