the blond of the Mpondo coalition and it seems that he got the worst of it and is in terrible condition

The blondied-maned Mpondo male is having those problems for over 2 years now. He was seen in poor condition in 2018 and in May 2019  he had a very badly injured right back leg. Look like  seems that that old injury is starting to affecting in once again. Really sad, to be honest.

The 5th Mpondo has a few scars but doesn't look very serious marks If he fed well and stay with their prides he will recover on a few weeks or months.

I restored the original post, as the video won't show due to privacy settings. This will allow others to at least copy the link.

The two males who were recently spending their time at Hamiltons Tented Camp.
They were seen moving on S125 near S36. Big on Wild had also seen them last year on the H1-3 near the S125 junction

Fixed your link for you, but like so many other recent Facebook videos, this one seems to be having issues as well.

I have notice this recently too. A few videos posting by other members were showing some issues. I just did the same as the other days and the videos were uploading correctly. Now seems  that something is wrong.
Once again,Thank you very much

One of the members of the Mpondo coalition seen yesterday evening in very poor shape and with a cut on his back leg.
Seems that this coalition will reduced to 4 members sooner or later. He is losing mane, weight and muscles. Such a sad end for this legend.

Mpondo male the cat with nine  lives.

"On the 10th of September 2020 i  found one of the Mpondo males around S113 area in the Kruger National Park. He really didn't look good, although he had a full belly he could hardly walk, he was thin, his back legs were swollen and he really struggled to walk. I felt really sorry for him and i thought the worst would happen very soon.
On the 20th of October i found him again further south and although he looked weak still this time he was looking much better. He could walk much better.
Yesterday i believe my Brother Louis Strauss from Jock Safari saw him again and in the video he looks so much better. Indeed these animals are very resilient and can survive the most difficult times."

Good news! Do you know who he fought with? Or how he got those puncture wounds on his back and legs?

Good post and information Titose.
His skin look a bit bruised. That's should be due his poor shape and injury that doesn't allow him to feed well,At least he is fighting to be in good shape again

The two new H7 males.
These two beautiful beasts look very impressive and powerful duo. Both of them were chased off by the Mbiri males a couple of months ago. Based on the size of the head of one of these two specimens,He should be a true beast

Thats a down side of big coalitions, they control vast territory and they split within few pride, so some males are mostly on their own and valnuarble..

I think this male and oldest Mpondo are mostly seen on their own..

The 5th Mpondo It's clear that is his own boss. He has been spending their time lonely since their youngers days,He  as well the one who lead them till the greatness.
However,The blondied-mane Mpondo male in 2018 and 2019 was forced out to spend their time with the Renosterkoppies pride due his injured leg, and If I'm not mistaken he used to spend a lot of time with the others Mpondo males too
