This is Scarface. As you can see he's been through a lot of battles. He also has a limp. He is in a coalition which will help him survive in spite of his injury. Day 1 Masai Mara, Kenya.

Red, Tatu & Topknot have left Mara North Conservancy and moved into Lemek Conservancy, where they have been for the past few months. It came at an unfortunate time however, as many of the pride females had new cubs. It seemed that the two Lemek males were doing a good job but the three intruders have manged to kill cubs and most of the pride is now scattered. The Lemek pride has had a very low cub recruitment rate over the last many years and a high pride male turn-over rate.  *This image is copyright of its original author It's so good to know the three boys are together now.
