There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Spectacular, a brown bear running after an American buffaloo (at Yellowstone ?) on the road. " This shot captures the moment a Bison who has fallen into a shallow geyser attempts to escape from a aggressive bear  ".

As mentioned here, Eram Zoo in Tehran, Iran, was founded in the 19th century by the Qajari Shah Naser Ad-Din, who had a collection of 5 bears (I assume Syrian brown bears) from Damavand, judging by this Farsi website of Animal Rights Watch, more details later.

I made a new thread for Eurasian brown bears, to avoid clogging up this one.
