-Hulk is Raja
- Bandipur tigress is the late queen Gowri
- the Nagarhole tiger is Torn Ears from Tiger tank area
- Last picture is again Gowri and Raja's last litter. cross tail is the weak male cub right beside Gowri and he was her favorite. Unfortunately this was her last litter before she died under mysterious circumstances.

"Flame of the Forest"
It has been raining in Tipeshwar very frequently. Its the nature's way of putting things back in order after a major fire broke out.
Before you ask me, the image below was not shot at night, its clicked at around 6, with good overcast.
I hardly request, but this particular one, watch it on full screen.

It was a photo from Nandankanan tiger safari. I saw there more than 15 flying peacocks; still as the moto of all the visitors was to see the tiger only they simply denied to watch and shot the photos of flying peacocks. Truly I felt necessity of Photo safari where every photographers intention should be shot something unique. I missed those moments.

Cool story about Waghdoh and Sonam
RRP
June 12, 2014
Flying cat....
Action unfolded right in front of us on our final safari of the trip. Waghdoh, the largest male Tiger of the Tadoba Andhari tiger reserve (Some claim it to be the largest of all Tigers of India) seemed injured and was cooling off in the Telia lake. It was reluctant to move out of the water or even to walk constantly licking its injured front left paw.
Right then a pack of wild dogs have come to drink water from the lake. They were ignoring Wagdoh and were engaged in a play. While I was curiosly watching Waghdoh to see its reaction, which doesn't seem to care the presence of wild dog pack, our guide has pointed us to a female tiger on the hill behind Waghdoh where Sonam, the female tiger and daughter of Waghdoh was lying in wait.
Sonam has crouched down and got into the hunting mode keenly watching the pack. Suddenly one of the dogs has come towards Waghdoh and started barking at it. Waghdoh, didn't care a bit and was largely ignoring the dog. Just then the female has started it's hunt and began chasing the dog pack. It continued the chase until we lost the sight of Tigress and dogs, and even after that. We could hear the barking sounds for sometime even after we lost the sight of them. Suddenly whole forest has come alive because of this action.
We were very content with the success of the last safari and the trip as a whole. I got this shot in which all the four legs of Tigress are in the air, similar to what we see in a cheetah chase. I was told it is very rare to capture a Tiger in such a pose unlike the cheetah. This is my best shot of the lot.

@tigerluver
are you able to take the same tactic you used for estimating the Amurs tiger weight compared the female on this male compared to the female?

*This image is copyright of its original author

I know she is further up the hill (further from the camera) and that will make a difference.
I was also curious as to if your method takes into account body dimensions as well? (limb and body girth)

*This image is copyright of its original author

Maybe this one is better since they are closer, but their bodies are a bit squished together
