There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

The royal look

Mating keeps the beauty. This male just mated with a female in the middle of the road.

The Lion King

Mpakasi son of Athi. A very good looking male from Nairobi National Park. Possibly the future king of Nairobi National Park.

This is Masaka, an adult now, from the kingfisher pride. He is a male but unfortunately has no mane and is mostly mistaken to be a female. He has grown to be very big and hangs around with his brother Sirua. They have been killing buffalos a lot and below pic shows masaka standing over a buffalo carcass. - Nairobi National Park.

This is the Chimbro male, him and his brother are currently dominating the southwest of Madikwe. In this frame he is testing the reproductive status of on of his females.

He needs to make that funny face to make sure the air molecules enter a small opening above the front teeth in the upper jaw that leads to the Jacobson's organ. The sole purpose of that organ is to let him know if a female is in heat or not...

This phenomenon makes for good entertainment and great photography.

Lions Of Africa

Fallen King of the Enkuyanai pride- he was a son of a lioness called Nyota which he stayed very long time before ganging up with Romeo 2 to take over the old double cross pride before coming up into the Olaremotorogi conservancy and take over the Enkuyanai, where they controll untill his death. Sharing this for remembering this handsome fallen king.

He was mating with one of the Enkuyanai females, sometimes back before the two male lions fight with him and sustain serious injuries, that resulted intoo his death. R.I.P — at Olare Motorogi Conservancy.

Just a day, after being beaten up badly by the two male lions, although he was promising in making through, but that didn't happen. — at Olare Motorogi Conservancy.

Mohican on good look before he was beaten. Being a male lion, lots of challenges face them, fighting back with other males lions to secure your chances in the pride. It is not easy being a male lion in the wild, especially in the territory that shares two battle areas. — at Olare Motorogi Conservancy.

This was after a take over...., when Mohican and his companion Romeo 2 took over the enkuyanai pride, that same morning returning towrads the females after chasing away the incubent male . — at Olare Motorogi Conservancy.

Today, the reign of two great lion kings came to an end in the plains of Masai Mara. Means The Kingdom of Red and Mohican has fallen!
The two great Male Lions are no more kings.
The great Mohican is killed and the weakened Red is left running forever. Kings forever
Hope the new kings will be as great as the late ones
