There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

We had a pretty wicked weekend as far as game viewing goes.

Sightings have been of the charts after the heavy rains, last week... There was a great Lion sighting one misty morning. Lions in the mist was very cool.

It's quite spectacular to see so many male lions together. Sadly this must be from some lion enclosure cause I don think it has ever happen in the wild.

Yes indeed... More than twenty lions walking together on the road.

Unless the king of the beasts takes power in the future.

"I have a dream". Joking

Definitely an enclosure. I love the range of shapes and sizes between all the lions. The first two are the perfect example, one is tall and little mane while the other is very short with a huge mane.

this must be from a canned hunting park, all those will be shot dead be wealthy foreigners and their head will be cut off and hang from a wall.

There is a beautiful big kopje right next to the main road in the Serengeti. It is not far from Naabi gate. It is my favourite spot in the Serengeti. A pride of lions lives there. They are known as the "Simba Kopjes" pride. I get so excited when I see the rock formations up ahead. This time a handsome young lion was waiting for us.

Profile of a King. To me, the lions of the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park are unparallelled in majesty. I know it sounds corny, but these are truly the most beautiful specimens ; size, manes, demeanour. This is the place for lion photography! The only edit to this image is the conversion to monochrome in Adobe Photoshop.
