There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

The new Chief Minister of Maharashtra State (of which Mumbai is the administrative capital), Uddhav Thackeray, has decided to stay the construction of a metro carshed in Aarey Colony, though not Mumbai's metro rail project itself: https://economictimes.indiatimes.com/new...294717.cmshttps://www.livemint.com/politics/policy...25744.html

Indian Leopard / Resting after meal

As per national census of leopards around tiger habitats was carried out in India except the northeast, 7910 individuals were estimated in surveyed areas and national total of 12000 - 14000 speculated

Gir is estimated to have 450

Gujarat in total estimated to have 1400 so 10% of the national population

These are approximate figures to the best of my knowledge
