There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

The difference only is a yard or so. The male is almost twice her weight and seems like a completely different animal.

KISSING LEGENDS!
This was one of the most amazing moments of my thirty years of tiger-watching!! Dawn broke in all its glory on the Chakradhara meadow......We had located B2 and the beautiful Chakradhara tigress (mother of Jhurjhura tigress, Chorbehra Tigress and many others) in the grasslands......Tourist vehicles were yet to arrive on the spot......A gentle breeze whispered past.......A sublime melody of bird-songs was all around us.....A light fragrance of wild flowers hung in the air......And the Chakradhara tigress was expressing her love and endearments to B2 through her various touches and soft purr. To me it appeared very human-like. In a moment of bliss, she embraced B2 and obviously kissed him! I was shivering in the excitement of witnessing such a sublime event in nature, but managed some shots. An unforgettable moment of life for me!! Wrote George B. Schaller in 'The Deer and The Tiger' quoting another luminary researcher ARTHUR W. STRACHAN (Author of MAULED BY A TIGER Encounters in the Indian Jungles, Edinburgh & London,), who published a detailed description of the behavior of two adults as follows......" With blazing eyes, ears laid back, and twitching tail, her attitude for the moment was anything but that of the loving wife. .....Then she raised her head and obviously kissed him." The jungles hide so many mysteries. We know so little of nature, yet we sometimes claim to know so much.
