Coalitions of Kruger National Park

Hello Everyone .

I would like to tell you about some Lions who unfortunately are not as popular as their famous brothers ( Majingilane ) who reigned over the famous Sabi Sand Game Reserve in Great Kruger Park .

In the beginning of 2006, the three muntshe male lions were born and are the offspring of the five old leeupan/Mantimahle coalition.

The narrative commences with Old Leeupan males taking over Mantimahle Pride, Mazithi Pride, and Muntshe pride, as well as other prides, that subsequently gave birth to various males.

based on the chronological order of their discovery.

The first Muntshe male I discovered will be called as the No. 1 Muntshe.

No.1 muntshe:the wired nose
A mark that looks like a 7 on the left side of his nose is easily recognizable.

His brother Muntshe No. 2 :- There are several prominent scars on No. 2 Muntshe's nose.

The No. 3 Muntshe has a similarity to Muntshe male No. 2.

In Kruger NP, the Muntshe Pride is a mega lion pride that encompasses a large area between the Nkumbe and Mlondozi dams.

The famous photographer Arno Meintjes captured four of the five old Leeupan/Mantimahle males near the Mlondozi Dam on ( November 4, 2007).

The location of the photos and the sighting of old Leeupan males were discussed by Mr. Arno in the comments section.

What we confirmed is that the old Leeupan males will completely cover the Muntshe pride territory.

A photo was taken by Mr. Attie De Bruin on the H10 road in 2007. He found Muntshe No. 1 male lion (aka the Wired Nose) with Muntshe pride lionesses and cubs.

Mr. Attie is a frequent visitor to the area and has posted many photos of the No. 1 Muntshe known male lion with a wired nose.

I asked the Mr. Attie De Bruin about the shooting time and location of this photo for H10 road, within the territory of the Old leeupan males , and he answerd me in the comments as you can see in the photos infront of you ⤵️⤵️ .

I will bring the pictures OG creaters later am so tierd after i made this .

Excellent efforts, my friend! I very much look forward to learning more about these Muntshe Males, half-brothers to the Majingilane Males, their territory, their prides, offspring. We may currently be following lions who are part of their legacy, and not even know it. Thank you, Ahmed Ali!

Not really a lion update but if this is true it is a serious and urgent issue in Kruger Park.

Hmm, wonder who did it, is it 3rd Nkaya Pan/ Ngotso, or maybe Satara males, or 2 young S90/young Nsemani male.

A lot of activity around this area.

I noticed that recently theres a lot of collared lionesses in Kruger (In Skorro, Satara, Sweni, Mantimahle prides etc.), so is this some new trend? What are they monitoring with that exactly ??

At the beginning we see a brief shoot on the third male, afterwards just Snip Tail and another brother with females.

DM Mathekenyane and atleast 1 of his bros found new pride at Biyamiti Camp, tensions where high:

This DM boy has one of the darkest manes in Kruger atm.

Not sure which pride is that, maybe Biyamiti pride.

@Brahim who controls this area atm?
