There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

While they would recognize him and it would help diffusing the situation a bit. Lion politics often determine the outcome of such meetings more than familiarity.

If Darkmane was seen as a threat he would have chased of or avoided the same as any other lion. The only difference would be that they would be able to put a prevorbial name to the face.
While an unknown lion thats obviously not a threat at that moment may be condoned.

So if it was an unrelated Old male lion they might’ve let him stay around? Or chase him away. Other than chela maybe recognizing who he is… I mated with him before he was with Mohawk and blondie not saying that’s how they think but there had to be some one who knew he wasn’t a threat and knew he with the other 2 dominant males before blondie died but maybe not idk it might’ve just been a coincidence lol I mean didn’t they come back after he was gored by the buffaloe?

Edit: Purple Eye's son defintiely has a longer and slightly paler face.

This post probably belongs in the general Sabi Sands thread.
Only sent it in here cos I wanted to confirm it was Purple Eye’s son, if ppl want me to move it to Sabi Sands thread I will.

@KM600, my friend, that would be the better thread, given the mixture of images the post contains with SS being the common denominator.

Wonder if Mohawk would have moved, from a single buffalo encroaching on him like that. He didn't flinch until the young males bolted, in fact he seemed rather calm and content.

I didnt see any 2021 males here.....but there are females absent maybe hes (they) are among them.

its easy to see how Chela's son has overtsken his cousins in size despite being the youngest.

Another guest posted some of the 2021 subs with some adults in the north, but no mohawk there either. This is from last week I believe, as it showed amber eyes daughter alone in previous stories
