What is strange in this. It was obvious with Mohawk being alone it will be easy takeover for the 2 Black Dams. There is nothink Mohawk can do. He could try to fight them off, but obviousy he would stand no chance in 2vs1 and probably it would reasult in him being heavly injured or killed.

I said its strange because they are west, so it must be some cause, which is prob BDM's.

The biggest subadult is clearly outmatching everyone.
He resembles like moon among the stars.
That guy is likely DM's son. His genes still strong after his death

He is Mohawk's son, compare faces, also has orange eyes, just like Mohawk.
On the comments of the video many people are saying that its DM's son based the subs approximate age and the timing of his sightings with Nkuhuma pride back in 2019. But if he is Mohawk's son, then Mohawk has best genes out of N. Avocas. If I remember correctly, the Dark Maned sub in Talamati pride is also his son, so both of his sons from the 2 prides have really dark manes for their age.

The dark-maned Talamati is most definitely DM’s son. He’s just too big and tall to be Mohawks. His facial features are similar to this mother, Silver eye. Most people online only pay attention to fathers which is why they forget those huge orange eyes was also a classical feature of the old Talamatis.
Lest people forget what dark mane avoca looked like next to his brothers:

Dark mane was a giant, but the Talamatis will be even bigger.

I agree, DM might be the biggest of N. Avocas, but its not always the biggest males that have the biggest sons. The face of the oldest Talamati subs also resembles a bit to Mobawk's. And also, young males who have really dark manes for ther age dont necessarily have a really Dark maned father. But again, lets not drag this further. We can just say that the Nkuhuma and Talamati males were sired by the N. Avocas.

Yeah didn’t want to drag up another paternity debate lol. But for people who enjoy looking at lion linages it’s worth nothing that the usually “tall” gene features prominently in some of the Giraffe males. The Old Avoca Brutus towered over his brothers the same way Osindile and Dark Mane stand head and shoulders over their coalitions mates. It’s a characteristic that’s very apparent in their offspring too. One of the thing the Talamatis are praised for is not just their size but how unusually tall they are. I feel like for many generations we’ll be able to track Brutus’ lineage because of those very specific traits they have but obviously this is not an exact science, but just something interesting for us to observe.

Yeah, the lionesses of the Talamtis were large and tall. Some lionesses made the Matimbas look smaller then they were, but in reality it was the females that were very big

Wrong thread, but, sons can be bigger then fathers, especially if the mother is big.
Also, Mohawk has same genes as DM, genes of big and impressive Avoca/Giraffe males, although he is smaller then DM, it doesn't mean he will produce small offspring.
Im the end, it is yet to be seen how big 2 Talamatis will actually become, they where still not as tall or long as DM even when DM was in bad condition, it doesn't mean they will reach or surpass the size of prime DM.
Here is Mohawk at age of ~ 5 yrs old, and DM Talamati below :
