There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

‘Members of the Styx pride was seen feeding on a kudu this morning. This young male stole the show as he would stalk and pounce his siblings and drag the carcass around making it difficult for the rest of the pride to feed.”

Heartbreaking, down from an original 11 to potentially 6!  Maybe another went missing?  They just lost one to the Nkhulus.  It's just like I thought would happen to a pride abandoned by their coalition too soon.  Let's hope at least a few survive....

If those 6 will survive then still it will be soon 5 adult females in the pride, so still pride has potentially great future ahead of themselfs.

"As guests were arriving for high tea in the afternoon, we saw that the Styx pride had made their way down towards the waterhole at Selati camp. We sat and watched as they found shady spots to hide from the last bit of sun before the clouds rolled in. We made our way there in our safari vehicles to have a closer look. It was a pride of 9 lions lounging around in the shade. We watched them for a little while before moving on to see what the rest of the afternoon had to offer."

Very well then.
In couple of months a few girls will be 2 yrs old.
They would be most probably accepted (like Southern pride subadults girls) if a takeover happens.
