Not really a name or anything, just where he sits in the age lineup yeah. You may see folks refer to him as "Ridge Nosed lionesses Son" also

That would be a shame if it were true.  I can't wait to see PC males' offspring thriving. They are beneficial to the population of Sabi Sand with their excellent genes.

Young Nkuhuma sub adult male. Someone in the comments said it's Dark Mane and Ridge Noses son.  If that's the case then that would explain why he looks so big.

No evidence that he is DM's, based of looks, he is most likely Mohawk's son.

As far as im aware, DM didn't mate or hang with Nkuhumas in early 2019.

Most of Nkuhumas prob are not DM's offspring, as from 2019 onwards, he rarely hanged with them, Mohawk and Blondie did most of the mating.

Moreover, the nkuhuma subadults are definitely not sired by DM Avoca.
As far as nkuhuma cubs are concern, there is just one time 3 bboys daughters seen with DM and that too in January 2021, whereas the cubs were born in June onwards.

Also Mohawk/ blonde literally lives with those 3 lionesses.

In general I really like the Avoca bloodline. Either of the three Nth Avoca's have been a good size for a male when healthy and well fed. Mohawk still looks very impressive and hope he can stay healthy.

Moreover even if he wouldn't be seen at all with Nkuchuma females it wouldn't be prove at all he did not mate with them. Rangers do not follow those lions 24/7. At that time Avocas were still single coalition and moreover DM at that point was the most dominant of the 3 Avocas and it is very likely he took his share at the mating rights.

Didnt know about that sighting. 

Regardless, im saying that in 2019 already DM rarely visited Nkuhumas, while Mohawk/Blondie lived with them every day, so its more likely that Blondie/Mohawk sired most of that offspring then DM, same goes for younger girls in 2021, DM was only seen for few days with them, before Mohawk found him, while Mohawk/Blondie where mating with them for months.

I don’t know why everyone here is sudden hellbend on rewriting history? Are you saying my friend who personally spent days with dark maned, ridge nose, and amber in the bufflekoek cutline knows less than some on the wildfact site?  In 2021 dark name was with the Nkuhumas lioness for weeks and numerous people I know saw them week after week. Based on when the cubs where born it’s only logical he fathered those cubs but at the end of the day I’m more annoyed that people say things seeming pulled out of thin area. We know these lions, just let people share accurate information about them so everyone can learn about them.

You are only pointing out times when DM visited Nkuhumas, and meanwhile Blondie and Mohawk where doing what exactly when females which they live with, and where first to mate with , where in estrus? Playing chess? Theres countless videos of Mohawk and Blondie mating with Nkuhuma females from those periods.. 


I like this narativne, how DM visited Nkuhumas in 2019 like 3-4 times, and 1 time in 2021,for a week, before Mohawk send him packing back north, and apperantly he sired all or most of Nkuhuma offspring, because idk, his brothers Mohawk and Blondie where too busy playing chess and didn't realise that their females where in heat, so DM came, put his seed in, only then Mohawk and Blondie realised, oh, look our brother is mating with our females, fuck this chess game, lets go get some.. (a bit sarcasm, but you get my point).

I do know that Tonpa does acutllay spend time in SS. But my main point is to just have some respect other people. Nothing else then that. Also do you have any proof that DM spent a lot of time with Nkuhumas in 2021? I believe he has just seen in their territory but soon left after Mohawk made it clear that the coalition had split. In 2019, Mohawk and Blondie definitely sired most of the Nkuhuma subs, but for sure DM did also father some of them. Unfortunately, unlike the Leopards, the reserve doesn't do DNA tests, thus we will probably never know for sure who sired who.

How does someone argue with the eye witness accounts of dozens of people, photographs, and videos, and not understand that not ever moment of a wild animals is documented on camera?

An example of this is someone saying dark mane was with the pride only 3-4 times in 2019 when all reports and photos show him bouncing back and forth for months. Also how are people who completely missed the 2021 sightings (some of which I already posted in the avoca page, Mdz123), speaking so confidently about this topic? His interaction with Mohawk wasn’t even until February. I thought of pulling up more sightings, because I love discussing lions, but why bother? Someone will retort with “oh that’s just one sighting” and we’ll keep going around in circles. 

For those who love this pride and want to know their accurate history, it might be good for you to know that Mohawk in 2021 was starting to spend time away from the pride exploring. He was mating with the smudge nose torchwood in January of that year and going to mala mala (although he could have been playing chess too /s). These are the factors that conspired to give dark mane the opportunity to spend many weeks with the Nkuhumas. On the eve of dark mane’s death it’s disappointing to see these misinformed posts that the Nkuhuma history doesn’t include 1/3 Avocas, when all three played a pivotal part in this new generation we’re following.
