If you mean Afsaal, it is an area on the H3 tar between Skukuza and Malelane Gate although a little closer to Malelane, it must be said. Lovely picnic spot there. In Afrikaans it means to have a break or take a break from the journey, there isn't really a direct literal translation to English.

From Jock Safari Lodge:
Top cats!
The Eastern Bank male and South Sishangeni male (featured) have been providing our guests with some amazing close-up sightings over the past year.
They were first seen by the Jock Rangers at Afsaal picnic site on the Southern edge of the Jock Concession as a coalition...but were well known prior to that in their previous coalition.
They rule the Jock Concession currently from South to North with 2 Prides (Jock and Windmill) under their rule.
They never had a Coalition name, so going forward we will refer to them as the “Afsaal Males” for identification purposes.

I'm not sure he's 11 years old. Because someone with a good credibility in lions told me recently that male was born in 2012..

Actually we know, Snip-Tail Mpondo and his now missing brother where born in Jock pride in period between late 2011- early 2012, as towards late 2011, his fathers, 3 Mlambane males ousted Old Jock male and started mating with Jock females.. Snip Tail will turn 10 yrs of age around this months.
2 Lukimbi brothers (Orange Eyes and Blondie) where born in 2011, as theres pictures of small cubs from 2011 in Lukimbi pride.
They definitely gone too soon, as except 5th (and now Snip Tail) no other males from Mpondos reached 10 yrs of age unfortunately..

Yeah, it's sad about that magnificent coalition. But, at least, they left amazing offspring, like this male, 1/3 Renosterkoppie males seen yesterday on S1

This guy is known as oldest Renosterkoppies male/Mpondo son, but he isnt Mpondos son, as his age doesnt match.
Mpondo's first offsprings in Renosterkoppies pride shouldn't be born before late 2016, even 2017, and this boy is quite older, prob born in 2015 or something, most likely sired by previous coalition (maybe Jocks?).
Regardless, near that area on S1 another male was seen, i think it might be one of the younger Renosterkoppies males, Kruger Sightings :

I recon that oldest renosterkoppies is son of Mpondos he doesn’t look much older then that Blondie one, just this guy developed quick even as a young sub he was fully maned. But yeah that other guy seen is the youngest renosterkoppies someone posted a video of him with that pic
