" Sometimes we forget the context of the photograph. Here a buffalo gazes out to a vehicle full of photographers in the distance as it’s future is all but determined. The Sparta pride dig their claws into the buffalo with no remorse ".

@AbcXyz

About #348: If you make here a search about the Sparta Pride, a great part of data linked to this pride concerns the Matshapiri Males... And I didn't want to open a new topic about the Sparta Pride especially if it will contain only 2 or 3 threads in a few years...

One thing is for sure: there is a link between the Sparta Pride and the Matshapiri Males. Perhaps the latters come from the formers. Perhaps too some other things...

The two Black-maned Matshapiri males males at Umkumbe Safari Lodge in March 2017. Without a doubt, these two had one of the most dark maned that i have ever seen! They ruled with a iron paw

Just like their sons, dark maned one had the most dark mane i've ever seen in lion at only 5 yrs of age, he just turned 5 years old when this photo was taken :

This is absurd that 5 years old lion has such a dark mane, Matshapiri elite genes.

He's a fine specimen of male lion. Matshapiri males lineage it must had been a strong one from their forefathers to get producing these kind of specimens with such a big and healthy dark-maned at such young age.
The Fourways male sired by the Majingilane males also had a incredible dark-maned to a similar age as this one. Quite incredible IMHO

2 underrated Kings of Sabi Sand. They will be remembered as the once who stood their ground against Majingi and Matimba.

The Matshapiri males reign was short, but crazy. I never have seen male lions with such an incredibly good-looking black-mane. Without a doubt, the Mathsapiri genes are something else.
