There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
Two bosses of the Sweni walk in tandem, each patrolling their own river bank, seemingly unaware of the others presence! This adult male lion is not quite in his prime and is one of the Shish young males which look to be a coalition with a big future if things go well (with Kruger's white Male lion). They had killed a buffalo and after a good feed the one male walked confidently for a drink while on the other side of the river bank a dominant male baboon walked confidently keeping tabs on the situation! Just spent a few weeks in Kruger and Kalahari and going through all the images...this one stuck out as one of the most unique and was a bit lucky that I could get both these boys through a gap! I always taught that they are coalition of 3 with this male:

But they are not, he is one of the 2 s129/Mazithi Dam/ Muntshe males, now dominant around Nkuhlu area (sry if in previous posts i refer to him as s21 male).
Great sighting of the Styx male that established a territory around the S26/Mpondo Dam along with his three comrades (Jan 2020). January 2020, Photo credits: Travel The World
