There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.
Two battle scarred warriors in Kruger National Park seen last month in the S36 road close to Hoyo Hoyo. Image credits: Keith Jenkinson These two males are the same that were "ID" as the Mluwati males, but definitely they not are the Mluwati males.
On a rainy morning in Kruger we were driving the famous S100 combined with the H6, driving back towards Satara Camp. We encountered these two males busy with their giraffe kill they made earlier. The left one was on the look-out as there was a very courageous black-backed jackal running around trying to get a piece of the giraffe. The right lion was clearly injured on his right eye, not a clue what happened to him. Maybe he got kicked by the giraffe during the hunt, who knows??♀️.
