The lions that are nomad sometimes no haven't mane due the stress or by starvation, this isn't the case of the four N'waswitshaka males, that are very great hunters and plus have mated with the Southern lioness, Obviously as potato said recently, the mane increase with the age

I follow this unique coalition faithfully since these boys have moved me in a way.  It will be interesting to see how they manage with 2 healthier males, plus 2 "handicapped" males in tow.  I like how the leading 2 are taking care of the weaker ones and they seem to be keeping up so far, battling on each day in the harsh world of lions....  Hope they can rebuild the Southern Pride if the lioness is able to conceive in the future.
