There is a world somewhere between reality and fiction. Although ignored by many, it is very real and so are those living in it. This forum is about the natural world. Here, wild animals will be heard and respected. The forum offers a glimpse into an unknown world as well as a room with a view on the present and the future. Anyone able to speak on behalf of those living in the emerald forest and the deep blue sea is invited to join.

Raghavendran Kandaswami I've seen Madhuri's cubs on four occasions, fortunately at different ages, the first when they were 4 months old and the last was early May. The two cubs are bigger as you say, I've seen them on two occasions, again the last on in May. Lara has occupied Kolba line and is rarely sighted. I last saw her on the road towards Kolsa back in March. It cannot be Lara since she is much smaller than the female you are referring to. I suspect that she is L2, Madhuri's sister who had occupied Agarzari earlier. In case you have Madhuri's photograph, check the pattern, this is clearly Madhuri... She does move territory often, although Dewada being her primary area...

Could be Kankatti or Madhuri, any body know?
Also, any ideas on how she lost her ear?

One of the most exciting mornings was when this lioness rushed into these hyenas feeding on a kill, dispersed them but, within seconds they banded together as a pack and rushed her away from the kill, when she came right in front of my vehicle and started calling for her pride... i loved all the back lit dust and the hyenas in the background.....
