At Shindzela

Hardly any cats for weeks and the get showered with them in a morning. Had 6 of the Monwana pride at our dam 1. Then 3 lionesses of Giraffe pride following by the 2 Monwana Males and 1 Giraffe lioness mating. Then on the way back saw another 6 Giraffe pride lions and the Monwana pride wandering down the cutline. Saw a leopard at the same dam where the Monwanas left and found 11 Avocas on the way home. 28 lion in the morning. Can not complain.

So did the Monwana males oust their father? Or did the Monwana males mating with Black Dam males daughters?

Dunno, I actually didn't see any updates on Black Dam male recently. Anyway if take over of Giraffe pride by Monwana males isn't fact yet then for sure at least it is in progress.

He is starting to put pressure on his injured leg, which is a good sign.

Two new males in the Northern Klaserie!

We're getting really excited about a possible new coalition forming in the Kitara / Timbila / Forbidden Island area ... however these two magnificent males (of this said coalition) made their way up to Dundee at the same time that the Rusermi Pride happened to be around ...... a little boxing match ensued between the males ..... these 2 boys won (no fatalities) ...... and then they headed back to their territory again.
