RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 10-25-2021

Morning. Just a quick update.
The Makanyi Guides found the Torchwood Male and Birmingham Young Male yesterday with a lioness from the Avoca pride. They were on a property called Combretum. We can't drive there. That is to the west of Makanyi itself.

White Lions of the Timbavati
There are only an estimated 500 white lions worldwide - in captivity. Regarded as a most sacred animal by African tribal elders, these rarest of the rare have been hunted to extinction in the wild by trophy hunters and poachers. White offspring being born to normal coloured parents (a phenomenon known as Leucism) is not new to this part of the world. The famous White Lions of the Timbavati made headlines in the 70's and 80's.
White lions owe their unique colouring to a recessive white gene. This gives rise to a lion with a white pelt and pigmented eyes and skin. A number of sightings have been reported in different areas of the Kruger National Park and they could occur again at any time in the Timbavati Prides

Using term extinction for a colour mutation is cringy and I can't take anyone doing that seriously. Either dumb or sellout.

It kinda brings back memories to what is happening to white tigers.

You mean further north. They are dominant around Afica on Foot.

Probably it is indeed female from already controled by Vuelas pride, but base on the location it could also be Giraffe and Sark breakaway females and if such would be the case it could mean that coalition is about to expand into Timbavati.

They were seen on Kambaku property. A guest who is on RockFig posted the pics. She isn't one of the Sark Breakaways, In fact, She's one of the Mafikizolo females. A pride who used to occupied territory in the Northern parts of the Timbavati in the 2010's on wards. For those who doesn't known, The Hercules pride hasbreak-away from the Mafikizolo pride as well.

None of the prides mentioned above. This particular lioness was seen in Klaserie around 4 years ago with other 2 females and 1 young male. From my database, and all my information, it's one of the Mafikizolo females.

Hi guys. Timbavati map from October 2021 is here. All information has been recorded by reliable sources and by first hand. I added some new prides, Like the Sark breakaway, Jacaranda pride, Vuyela males, Black dam males, among others.

VUelas tho pops out in Timbavati just like once for couple of months. Hardly any part of Timbavati could be called their territory because of ammout of their presence there. They are regulary seen around Africa on Foot in Klaserie. Perhaps it is about to change tho as they were seen with Sark breakaways not long ago and might forcus around that pride in the near future and therefore be seen in Timbavati at regular basis.

I added the Ross territory on around Shindzela - Johnniesdale, they also go all the way down to Morgenzon

They’re not spending a lot of time in the east anymore because of pressure from Mbiri males.
