Are you sure those are Hercules/Sumatra cubs?

Their cubs where born in late 2019, and would now be 1 yrs old, but those cubs are most likely killed by Mbiris..

"No, they where also chased by Nharhus"

Yeah, but 3 Nharhus together are also huge force. I meant that they could potentially take on other coalitions with equal numbers. Nharhus are rather too strong.

"But maybe they are just testing waters, for now.."

They are still in the arena so I do not think they are really scared, just careful. It is their first encounter with the dominant males in this arena. Moreover as guide has said they are not in best condition. Perhaps after getting few good meals they can try to take a fight against some dominant males.

"He became dominant in April 2017 with Ross breakeaway females at the age of 5, 5.5 prob "

From the mid 2016 he with his brother were domminant over most of Avoca pride. They had 5 Avoca lionesses while Ross males spent their time with just 2 lionesses.

"Then in early 2018 with Hercules pride, but after that we have 0 info that he was dominant male"

He was too old by that time to have any other status in the pride.

"as BDM was pushing deeper into his area"

BDM male pushed into Mapoza male territory and his Giraffe pride . There wasn't any interactions between BDM and Sumatra seen and no reason to expect some to happened.

"sightings of both Sumatra and Hercules prides where almost 0..so we dont know how long Sumatra was dominant over in Klaserie,if he was.. "

We do not know for how long indeed, but I think it is save to say that he was for at least some time.

"Ok, maybe my point wasnt exactly on point for those 2, because we dont know what was Sumatra doing since mid 2018 - mid 2019, i agree.."

Actually now I found out that he was mating with Avoca lionesses in October 2018. Interesting stuff.

Sumatra and Hercules males in Shindzela September 2018

Sumatra and Hercules was together 3 days ago although the Sumatra male was mating with a Avoca Lioness.
Saw Moposa for 4 days with Avoca lioness and Sumatra chased him off. They might form coalition (note: Sumatra and Hercules) as they are together for some time now. Sumatras use to mate with Avocas 2 years ago.

We do not know when Mbiris started to mate with Skorro lionesses. There are nearly no updates from Orpen Gate. Mbiris are in the arena at least from August when they chassed around there 2 H7 males and were seen in northern Manyeleti.

As @Potato said, we dont know, last reported sighting of Skorro pride with Hercules and Sumatra was in April/May if im not mistaken.. They could lost it in by June/July as far as we know.. And then these cubs could be from Mbiris easly..

And theres no sign of older Hercules/Sumatra males cubs which i posted photo from April.. Those cubs are 99% killed by Mbiris, so theres no reason for Mbiris to spare this cubs who look very young like 3-4 months old.. Unless as i said, some lionesses where already pregnant with Hercules/Sumatra..which can be because they where sightings of mating in April.. So May, June and July pregnant, August born..

If Mbiris didnt took-over before August/July then those cubs are Hercules and Sumatras..

Of course. As well,Maybe the Skorro lionesses did the mock mating. A very common behavior considering that It's a movement to save their cubs on a future.
Hercules and Sumatra males were in the H7 in July. I'll ask to the photographer if they were with the Skorro females.
