In this amazing picture we can see selati 3 and Selati 1 leaving the scene while another Selati (maybe 2 or 4) remains lying down as if there were no rhinos around.

"We were following the herd of buffalo and hoping to encounter the Selati Boys that had been tailing the herd for a couple of days.  Suddenly we heard the distress call from a buffalo.  George, the very experienced ranger from Inyati Private Game Lodge put the Land Cruiser into gear and we crashed through the bushes in the direction of the sound. Selati #2 was the one that was holding on the the buffalo's throat in the kill zone. He also the one that stood fast and did not let go and run until the other buffalo's tossed him off the kill...

The author of the post mentions the condition of male no.2 in the comments of one of his Facebook posts. He claims he heard different stories...
Selati #2 could have been injured in some territorial fight (Majingilane). Which I particularly doubt, since he never had exposed wounds on any occasion...

Another story mentions that he was kicked in the ribs by a buffalo in some situation... (which could have caused internal injuries). which i believe has a greater chance of being true.
