No, average lifespan of male lions in Kruger is 9-10 yrs (obiviously not all die from old age tho).
Healthy males can reach to 14-15 yrs of age, but its rare.
How old were the Shishengenis when they got killed by the Gomos? They were pretty old, and still dominant. Had it not been for that encounter, which was building for some time, they could have had a lot longer I think. But, I know they were definitely older lions, they were around for a long time.

@BA0701 they were at least as old as the Ross Males are now and both still in top condition at the time. The fascinating thing about that situation was I believe it was the Shishangeni Males who instigated the encounters, to which the Gomondwanes responded with their full force.

Yes, my friend, you are correct, the 2 Shish males did indeed initiate the attack on the Gomos. They came upon them mating with one of their females, and they attacked. But, there were 4 Gomos, and they began chasing the Shish males, then they disappeared into the bush, with a lot of painful roaring being heard after that. Same sounds we heard from Mo Vurhami's brother and the 5th Majin, I hate that sound.

The most successful duo in Timbavati and Sabi Sands in a very long time, certainly in my years following lions. They have seen a couple of generations, from two prides, to sub-adult/adulthood, incredible!

The thing I find most interesting thing about these males is the fact they stuck with one pride for most of their territorial years. A duo as strong and as aggressive as the Ross males were in their prime would have set their sights on one or two more prides and not many people would be surprised but they seemed content with the Birmingham pride alone. Such a long period of stability in the area has seen the pride go from strength to strength over the years as a result.

If the guest is right, it seems that the Birmingham Pride has 31 members:

We know they have 7 adult lionesses, so even if we include the Mbiri males, this would equal 22 cubs.
Prior to this it was believed they had 18 cubs, but in the WILDwatch Safari which footage may be from months ago, they show Scar mating with a lioness and say that she is the last lioness from the Birmingham pride that is mating with the Mbiri males. She might have had 4 cubs if the sighting above is to be believed.
22 cubs, this is crazy, add possibly what, at least 10 subadults from the Skorro pride ( I think there are many more, I believe the pride had way over 21 members ), 10 Mayambulas, and currently the Mbiri males have over 42 living offspring, probably more, which is mindblowing.
These are very impressive numbers for even big successful coalitions, but the Mbiris are only 2.

That is crazy, that would make them the biggest pride I have ever heard of. There may have been bigger, but I surely don't recall hearing about them.

Most of the Matimba offspring has been themselves very successful. The 2 Mbiris's bloodline is approaching their fathers at this point
Also, I forgot which Matimbas sired the Mbiris. Does anyone know?

This one was posted a week prior, I've posted it in Matimba Coalition Male Lineage thread as well as most of it is Zig Zag and a Birmingham Pride lioness together and mating, but I guess I post it here as well, as the guides says on the video, the lioness is the last one of the pride not having cubs or denning, that info might be an interesting bit for upcoming pride dynamics.
