@Pantherinae :

About #1098: on the first photo we could believe it is "Grimace", one of the males of the Notch's coalition. 2 beautiful masculine, virile, manly lions (tick the right word).

Lion starving to death (probably, one who is aged and replaced or over taken his pride by other strong males). He's starving, So became badass and died trying to get his food, even he's gored. Do or Die. Sadly, the Death welcomed. RIP.

Mako and Kaang.

@Sanju :

About #1105: How was this small tree remaining standing (at last 500 kilos lions into the branchs) ? I don't believe in this case these lionesses were upto this tree canopy in order to escape from the heat or to search for freshness, because they are still sunlight ! There is something within the lion's spirit and logic that I don't comprehend. Perhaps there was a very refreshing wind 3 or 4 meters off the ground !

Comic photo, I find...

 Lion Recovery Fund - Male lions are often known for their iconic manes, but Kalamas is known for the lack thereof. Kalamas is a majestic male lion that lives in Tanzania's Ngorongoro Crater where our grantee Kope Lion works. Recently Kope Lion spotted a male lion in the crater that had appeared to have lost his mane. They were able to identify this lion as Kalamas by his whisker pattern. While they aren't sure why he lost his mane, they think the hair loss could have been caused by the stress of coming into contact with other lions or traveling between the Serengeti and the crater.

It appears even lions have bad hair days, but the good news is that his mane grew back in a few months time! Just look at the difference when Kalamas has a full mane. ? Big thanks to Kope Lion for these pictures!

Lions will gorge themselves into a food coma when there is plenty of food available, and on days like this an average male lion will swallow around 15% of their body weight!

A lion cub in Serengeti National Park, Tanzania

Lions have one of the most complex communication behaviours of any of the cats. They can make a variety of calls which include roars, grunts, moans, growls, snarls, meows, purrs, hums, puffs and woofs.
