Adorable sighting: Lion cubs at play

It is the latest offspring of South Luangwa’s iconic male lion coalition Ginger and Garlic, who share a rather extraordinary bond of brotherly love and actively breed and raise cubs in their conjoint territory.
As both male lions share the mating rights with females of their prides, it is hard to make conclusions of which lion is the biological father of the present litter. Both lions seem to tolerate and interact with the cubs in a gentle and non-threatening manner.

The battle for dominance continues to heat up at Kwandwe!
After following the sound of a lion roaring early this morning Marc,Nic and I were were taken completely by suprise as first the Dark Male and then the South Male came trotting right past us in hot pursuit! The South Male chased the Dark Male intitially before they had one brief scuffle and the tables turned and he was chased back the way they had come. Some distance later and clearly both exhuasted they both lay down some distance apart in a stalemate as the temperature increased.
Guess where we're going this afternoon......

About #969: As concerns the length of the horns, we cannot compare the Asian rhinos and the African rhinos... Absolutely not. And this rhino, followed by her cub is more than probably a female.

That horn appears to be several feet long, and quite sharp. Any info out there on max. horn lengths for rhino's?
