Except for Sumatra, they have been forced to be "mean" towards people. They have no space and food is running out.
Less contact with people is a very big factor. Even tho tigers have different personality's a tiger with little experience will be more defensive when is faced against humans. And tigers does not like many other animals, run away when things are coming and therfore charges will happen, some are shy some are not. But some tigers else where can ofc behave just as aggressive, but then it's a personality thing.
like a male lion from a dessert ran 100 meters to attack a safari jeep, that's not because he's extreamly aggressive, he's just not used to car's like other Lions.
Also aggression towards human's does not nessecaeraly mean's they would be The most aggressive against their own spicies.

I too have seen Gabbar growing and adding bulk in the last couple of years.
He was seen first in 2012. Since his ancestry in unknown, he could be a much younger tiger than we thought.
Yea he has grown significantly and seems to be the youngest out of all the prime males.
here's what i believe personally
1)Yeda Anna (Oldest - out of prime)
2)Wagdoh (Old - out of prime)
3)Basant Bandhara (Old - out of prime, last sighted in 2013 and hasn't been seen since) my guess is that he's in the Bufferzone.
4)Shivaji (Old - out of prime)
5)Saturn (Prime animal but took a serious beating to his ego by Katezari)
6)Katezari (Prime animal)
7)Pandu (Prime animal - no resident status, wanders around occasionally)
8)Unknown male from Bufferzone (looks like an Adult male and right in his prime - sadly, I wasn't able to figure out what part of Bufferzone he's from)
9)Leopard face (Prime - doesn't back down from a fight)
10)Veer - Son of Shivaji (should be reaching his prime but being in Kolsa range, we can't follow him)
11)Shiva - Son of Wagdoh (still a bit of a stretch from his prime) - confined to Jamunbodi but wanders around - no resident status yet.
12)New male of Teliya lake (If i were to guess, i'd say he's not older than 3.5 years and should be going in his prime after Monsoon)
13)Pasha (should be reaching his prime, somewhere in the Bufferzone)
14) Sub adult seen in Pandherpauni (probably not even 3 years old yet, too young)

this map shows how big of a territory Wagdoh has under his control. (Probably kicked the resident male out of Agarzari too, he was filmed mating with an unknown tigress in Agarzari) and He moves from Junoona bufferzone, all the way to Agarzari and occasionally goes to Teliya lake.

Some tigers have never been photographed to this day. Caught in camera traps only, others get photographed all the time. Some become man eaters and are unknown to people and others are maneaters and are known to people. Some cats are photographed for the first time and never again. Shivaji was photo'ed a ton, then all of a sudden he vanished to the bufferzone is hasn't been seen since. Cats just react differently to new situations or old ones.
Some are comfortable with people and can be fine and then attack out of knowhere others are notorious for it.
Like T24 chasing the jeep for what seems like a half mile just like the Lion you mentioned. But T24 is well known and photographed a lot.
I sort of agree with the last statement, although, a tiger or lion aggressive towards people will probably be aggressive anyway since its a obvious personality trait. Agression is agression, just like shy cats are probably shy in the wild setting.
Usually the most aggressive big cat is the most successful with getting milk from mom, food from kills and becoming the strongest cat usually equals the most successful in life.
I guess all I'm saying is, there is no "typical cat behaviour"

Yes as I said, all tiger personality's are just as different as our's, some shy cat's will still be more nervous around car's and people on elephant's. So what I ment is if You surprise a shy tiger who has never been seen and he is nervous and has nowhere to hide he would probably act more aggressive, just as normal house cat's who becomes wild, they will be more scared if You where to surprise them than a cat at homm, and will hiss, and be more aggressive that's The same with tigers shy tigers will run and hide as wild house cat's but making them uncomftrable they will act aggressive.
As I said with that lion who charged The car, he's very uncomftrable and charges like Lions in National parks would never have. There is aswell leopards doing The same when they feel threthend.
That's Nothing to do with The tigers personality it's about beeing a wild animal doing what it takes to survive.

No big cat will react the same, each situation will get a different reaction from each cat and it's unpredictable what it will be.
Hell, all animals are that way.
There is a reason why Domestic Cows kill way more people a year than Sharks, animals are just unpredicatable, plain and simple.

Domestic cow's are no Joke! I grew up with them.. Especialy The bulls, it's no surprise they kill more than sharks, buffalos aswell kill more people than sharks! Remember all The horrifying thing we do to entertain ourself by cousing pain and stress on bulls, like bull running, rodeo, bull fighting etc. They Get You they can kill you easy. The power they posesses is just scary.

That´s definitely true. I think that in Europe and North America the domestic cows are "responsible" for much more deaths of humans than any other animal. Or they could be perhpas rivalled by dogs...

Cows are no joke, check out how they react to a black bear that tries to investigate them, another video of a guy being chased by a Bull and his cows for a mile plus.
Even horses kill more people than sharks world wide.
