RE: Lions of Timbavati - afortich - 11-04-2024 Imbali and Nkuhumas RE: Lions of Timbavati - Mapokser - 11-09-2024 Who's this in Ngala now? My first thought was 1/2 Monwagane male, with maybe a Birmingham or Skorro lioness? Or maybe this is one of the BDM? *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author *This image is copyright of its original author

RE: Lions of Timbavati - Potato - 11-09-2024 Isn't it one of the Vuyela males? What he would do so far south tho? :o RE: Lions of Timbavati - Tr1x24 - 11-09-2024 (11-09-2024, 02:36 PM)Potato Wrote: Isn't it one of the Vuyela males? What he would do so far south tho? :o To me also looks like most likely Vuyela. Maybe its in northern Ngala. Also, with most of Ngala being now without strong coalition, theres not much to keep them out. Mbiris hold area further east near Orpen, idk what is with Ross males, with reports that Tyson is not seen for a while, it doesnt look they hold much, if any claim anymore. And towards west, BBreakaways are still not fully territorial by the looks of it, them and young Monwanas. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Mapokser - 11-09-2024 There's another story with this male sleeping surrounded by females and cubs/subs, same sighting at Ngala: *This image is copyright of its original author If this is a Vuyela male, what about the pride with him? There's a subadult with a big mane there as well. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Tr1x24 - 11-09-2024 (11-09-2024, 09:15 PM)Mapokser Wrote: If this is a Vuyela male, what about the pride with him? It seems they are split into two now with some females hanging further north (like southern Tanda Tula) and some adult females with sub adults are hanging further south. Sometime back in September is the last time I recall hearing about both of them if memory serves correct. Damn, I didn't know Grumpy Tyson was missing. The duo has been around for so long it seemed they would always be around! All things come to end tho. I think they have been very successful. As a duo being territorial for ~8 straight years, yea, very successful. I am sure there have been others who have been equally successful, but I cannot, personally, think of any. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Fenix123 - 11-12-2024 One of the vuyela males Credits to bushjacques RE: Lions of Timbavati - BigLion39 - 11-12-2024 I just saw a video of Fabio Ross. Not sure if it was posted here earlier or not and I cannot find it again, too many FB groups, I'm not sure which one I saw it in. He had fighting injuries. His tail was pretty messed up. Anyone else saw this and can post it? Which coalition has been roaming in the Ross territory recently that would have done this and possibly be responsible for Tyson disappearance? |
