An aside, I do wish @Tonpa would come back and join us again

Is @Tonpa in South Africa?

I do not actually know where he is from, just know he was a valued member of the site, and happens to be the person who gave Wonky Eye his name.
My wording was unclear.  I was wondering if he is currently in South Africa.  I thought I remembered someone saying they were saving up to go on safari sometime soon.  I couldn't remember if it was him or not.  I hope he's well, wherever he is.

Ah, yes, no worries at all, my friend! There was another member, @widmerk, who makes regular treks to the African bush, and there has been a few others mentioning the possibility as well. I don't recall @Tonpa saying that, but that is not to say he didn't.

Not sure how to interpret this video but it says the Birmingham Brakeaway males are now trying to takeover the Giraffe pride. We see a male, looks very much like a Birmingham Brakeaway to me, startle and then act (somewhat) dominant towards another lion that is lying behind a tree. Looks like a male that is behind the tree, if you look closely you see a black mane. Could it be Hercules himself? Title of the video says "Giraffe pride male getting scared off".

Anyways I don't have the original source so this is all the info I got, but if true then Birmingham Brakeaway males really are on tour lately, first chasing Monwana boys and now Giraffe pride / possibly Hercules.

As usually Mapogo channel doing its absolute best to not share the credits. Anyways, the original video was recorded and posted by Roan Du Plessis (@theroanlife on IG).
in his stories, Roan puts a small caption on the video saying:
"Birmingham Breakaway males might be moving in soon
One of the Giraffe pride's young males getting a bit of a scare"
The male behind a tree must be one of the young males of the Giraffe pride that the big Birmingham Breakway male attempts to intimidate
in the below video seems like there is atleast two lions he attempts to intimidate(?) Either young males or females

(In a no better angle, by Aidan Hall)
as Hercules is a single male, the Birmingham Breakaway boys shouldn't have much trouble displacing him, unfortunately for him.

Thank you, my friend, for this update, and your accurate comments.

As for Hercules, a very sad situation, but we've all understood the realities since Sumatra's passing.

Birmingham Breakaway males

"One of the Birmingham Breakaway males scouting the area in the last light of the day.
As much as they move around the reserve, ever following the herds of Buffalo. It is always a pleasure spending time around these males.
Growing into a powerful coalition, but seemingly still content in their nomadic lives."
