Young Giraffe male is said to be a father now. Not sure how many of the Monwana breakaways he mated with but one or possibly more have had cubs.
Edit: Do to a lack of due diligence on my part and questions that I feel are legitimate having been raised as to the exact sire of the cubs I have decided to edit this post. What is know is this, a group of lionesses that are from the Monwana Pride (possibly a breakaway group) have been seen with new cubs. The Young Giraffe Male is said to have mated with said lionesses before, but I cannot say for absolute certainty as to the time-line of those events so the possibility of another male, perhaps Mapoza himself, mating with them as well cannot be ruled out. I'm trying to find out whom the above mentioned lionesses actually are and if footage of the Young Giraffe male and them mating is available. My apologies, it was not my intent to potentially share inaccurate information on here.

Who sired him? Does he have a partner? Haven't really heard about this male or the Monwana Breakaways. Is he the male that was partnered with the Limping Monwana Male? They were seen together as late as April 24th, I believe, however it's hard for the lame one to keep up with his partner and to obtain meals independently. He was seen in rough shape last sighting, alone.

I honestly don't remember who his father/fathers are, sorry. Yes, he's the male that's been with the Limping Monwana male, haven't seen anything on whether or not they're back together or if LMM is still on his own.

I get confused sometimes but I think the limping Montana male and the giraffe male have the same fathers and it’s the avoca young male who is the son of the mapoza

Then if he's the father, it stands to reason the Limping male could also have sired some of the cubs since they were together up until the end of April. Didn't know there was a breakaway group, either.

I would imagine it comes from previously reported mating haven taken place by him and some of the females. I will see if I can find more information on those reports and share what I may be able to find. Until then I will edit my previous post.

Does anyone know the make up of the Monwana Pride? How old are the oldest Mapoza offspring? How many cubs, subadults, etc.? Are any of them fathered by the Xikukutsu (spelling) Males?
Whatever happened to the Xikukutsu Males? Where's the Black Dam Pride? Does Mapoza have offspring in the Black Dam Pride?

The Girrafe male is partner to Limping Monwana, both sired by The Black Dam Male. Several months ago, he was seen mating w a splinter from the Monwana Pride consisting of two females. It’s a foregone conclusion, GM is the father of the cubs. I think four cubs in total.
