Some theorize that it's caused by babesiosis. His leg looks too atrophic to be cause by an attack. Anyway, he seems to be adapting somewhat too being a tripod. Wonder if he can run decently. To me looks like possible hunting accident or maybe similar how Mohawk Avoca came down that tree scavenging a carcass (he didn't hurt himself) but we can easily see how it can happen. Looks like his hip is totally dislocated. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Gavskrr - 05-02-2023 for me he has an injury similar to skorokoro nharhu, so much so that sometimes he was seen supporting his leg on the ground and in others walking only on 3 legs, it seems like an occasional situation, the origin of the injury is unknown as far as I know, I would say that it was the result of a hunt as @BigLion39 pointed out, it does not lose condition quickly like males that have leg injuries due to diseases and derivatives. This male has a much worse injury than skorokoro. I honestly don't know how this guy is still around. RE: Lions of Timbavati - afortich - 05-03-2023 This young boy is avoiding the new males that are trying to take over the Ngati pride. RE: Lions of Timbavati - BigLion39 - 05-03-2023 (05-03-2023, 03:40 AM)sik94 Wrote: This male has a much worse injury than skorokoro. I honestly don't know how this guy is still around I agree, his injury is probably the worst out of all the males we see limping around. From what I see he has absolutely no use of that leg. Poor guy. Amazing he is surviving and in great shape for now. I honestly don't know how this guy is still around To me, it is a toss up between him and Spearboy, both are horrific injuries, and they both appear to have no use of those legs at all. Spearboys leg literally flops around at times, as if completely fractured. In the beginning, I thought BYM's injury may be as severe, but he has been able to recover remarkably well. Young Giraffe male missing? Any info about this? RE: Lions of Timbavati - Gavskrr - 05-03-2023 (05-03-2023, 07:39 PM)Tr1x24 Wrote:(05-01-2023, 03:41 AM)Gavskrr Wrote: possibly with the help of the younger giraffe male he has teamed up with, however the young male has not been seen for a long time. so far none, just judging the fact that the last couple of times the monwana male has been sighted alone, the good condition indicates that he may still be getting help but unless I missed something it's been months that haven't had a sighting from him. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Potato - 05-04-2023 The Guernsey Male has made a return. He was seen on Sungula’s kill, earlier this week and yesterday, he was found trying to mate with an Avoca female. The lion dynamics at the moment are extremely interesting and it constantly feels like something major is going to happen!
