RE: Lions of Timbavati - BigLion39 - 09-04-2022 Did one of the Vuyela males die or are there still 5? RE: Lions of Timbavati - Tonpa - 09-04-2022 Saw an interesting post on the lions of timbavati fb group. The two older Kudyela males seem to have taken over the Singwe pride (the other pride south of the Olifants river that was formerly controlled by the Machatons) and were seen mating with the females. Their half brother the Singwe Male is still lurking around. "The safari part of the holiday has begun, and boy has it begun well! Spent 2 hours with 4 lions - 2 mating pairs - who not only mated repeatedly but also hunted a bushbuck (unsuccessfully) and had a fight." "We had 2 pairs of lions mating in front of us 30 minutes into tge drive, not eveb worried about the slightest of movement. And all of the sudden we see this male in the distance, thought he was part of the pride. Meantime he wasn't, so the younger male and female stood up after their romantic moment and moved determined towards him to chase him off" RE: Lions of Timbavati - Potato - 09-04-2022 RE: Lions of Timbavati - Horizon - 09-04-2022 (09-04-2022, 04:47 PM)Potato Wrote: Timbavati is lucky to have these boys around. They stick together for another 6 to 8 months, I am sure everyone of these boys will have names. They are still 5 RE: Lions of Timbavati - T I N O - 09-04-2022 Skorro male Sindzisa has always been the more dominant of the two which is evident as as he usually gets the mating rights over his partner Rhasa. Currently he is mating with a one of the younger Mayambula lionesses after finishing up their wildebeest kill yesterday morning. Although in recent years, the Nharhu and Skorro males get their owns. The rangers don't use them.(09-04-2022, 04:47 PM)Potato Wrote: They could possibly get a new coalition name, depends of which area they will settled down, like a property etc. RE: Lions of Timbavati - Tonpa - 09-05-2022 Masungulo Males on Africam tonight.
